The book integrates fiction and history and will be a treat for our young readers to enjoy. Botija is a great story, full of adventures  about new people and places. Botija is a fictional story where history about the Spanish Colonization Period is relevant. The arrival of Christopher Columbus at The Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti) in 1492 is the center of this important historical event for all the Caribbean islands and many countries of South America. The story draws the readers from the Americas to their roots and provides a close look at why they became what they are today. They learn the concept of botija and, the story being told as a pastime, develops as a beautiful and exciting narrative that keeps them asking questions and wanting to know more.

A Doll for Christmas is a story about a Dominican girl (written in English & Spanish) hoping to receive a  beautiful doll for Christmas.  She is sad when she finds under her bed a skinny and bald doll instead.  At the end, her wish comes true in an unexpected way.  Find out where and how. The story illustrates how Christmas is celebrated in the Dominican family traditional culture, and how kindness can make a difference in people's lives.

2022:  Year of Renewal!
We are resilient people and this year we have moved forward with our lives.  Many things have changed and probable will never be the same again.  We have learned a lot from different life daily events, circumstances.  We apply that new knowledge to how we are going to live in the best possible way to create a better place for us, our communities, and our country.

2021:  Year of Hope and Love!
It is important to keep going and moving forward.  Things are changing slowly, but changing.  Art galleries and art shows (virtual) are taking place.  It is great to know that fellow artists keep working on new projects.  Personally, I have been engaged in publishing my first children's book and working on the second.
