2014 ˮ McNair Scholars Cohort

Program Description

The ˮ McNair Scholars Program works with selected first-generation, low-income and under-represented undergraduates who want to pursue PhDs. McNair scholars conduct research under the supervision of faculty mentors and create effective strategies for getting into and graduating from doctoral ˮ.

We are accepting applications for the 2024 ˮ McNair Scholars Program. The deadline for applications is November 24, 2023. Eligible juniors and seniors are encouraged to apply. Please see below or email remcnair@pdx.edu for more information.

The Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program was established in 1986 by the U.S. Department of Education and named in honor of Challenger Space Shuttle astronaut Dr. Ronald E. McNair. The program, which has been at ˮ since 2003, is funded by a five-year grant of $1,429,910.00 from the U.S. Department of Education and ˮ institutional cost-share funds.
